VEGGIE PUFFS

Puffs are undoubtedly children's most favorite snack. No one would hesitate to grab a bite.Made fresh and hot at home, healthy and hygienic.

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE FILLING

Any left over vegetables or the same filling used for the samosa recipe can be used.I used the filling left over from making SPRING ROLLS.

FOR THE DOUGH

  • MAIDA(PLAIN FLOUR)-200GM
  • VANASPATI(VEGETABLE FAT)-100GM
  • ICE COLD WATER-TO KNEAD
  • SALT -INE-FOURTH TSP
METHOD

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degree Celsius.
  • Mix the flour with ice cold water and salt into a soft dough.Knead several times.
  • Keep the dough aside covered with a wet cloth for half an hour.
  • Melt the vanaspati until it resembles oil.
  • Now refrigerate the vanaspati for 10 minutes .
  • Take it out and beat with a fork until it becomes creamy.
  • Roll out the dough into a big rectangle using flour for dusting.
  • Divide the rectangle into three squares and apply one -third of vanaspati to two-third of the rectangle.
  • Now first fold the empty side over the side where vanaspati is applied and then the third side on top of that.
  • Repeat the same process 3 times.
  • Refrigerate for 10 minutes and cut into six squares.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the middle and fold diagonally.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and crisp.
