JEERA RICE

Simplicity at its best..15 min meal guaranteed.Serve hot on a rainy day or winter days...

THINGS YOU NEED
  • BASMATI RICE-(LONG GRAIN RICE)-200GM
  • ONION-1 CHOPPED
  • GINGER-1 INCH PIECE
  • GARLIC-3 CLOVES
  • GREEN CHILLI-1
  • CUMIN SEEDS-HALF TSP
  • GHEE-1 TBSP
  • OIL-1TBSP
  • CINNAMON-1 SMALL STICK
  • CLOVE-3 NOS
  • BAY LEAF-1
  • MINT LEAVES-FEW
  • CORIANDER -FEW
METHOD
  • WASH RICE AND KEEP ASIDE
  • HEAT OIL+GHEE IN A PRESSURE PAN.WHEN OIL IS HOT, ADD CINNAMON,CLOVES,BAY LEAF AND FRY THAT TILL AROMA COMES.
  • NOW ADD ONION AND FRY ON A MEDIUM FLAME TILL GOLDEN BROWN.
  • GRIND TOGETHER GINGER ,GARLIC,CHILLI AND ADD IT.
  • FRY TILL RAWNESS DISAPPEARS.
  • NOW ADD CUMIN SEEDS AND FRY FOR 2 MINS.
  • FINALLY ADD RICE,MINT LEAVES,CORIANDER LEAVES AND FRY FOR 5 MINS ON A MEDIUM FLAME.
  • ADD 350 ML OF WATER.
  • PRESSURE COOK FOR 1 WHISTLE.
  • SERVE HOT.
