CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

This is one such recipe which does not need any explanation.The moment you make them you can see them disappear before your eyes .Its a magic.........


INGREDIENTS


  • UNSALTED BUTTER-100GM
  • CASTOR SUGAR-75 GM
  • LIGHT BROWN SUGAR-80GM
  • EGG-1
  • VANILLA  EXTRACT-1TSP
  • PLAIN FLOUR(MAIDA)-150GM
  • BAKING SODA-1 TSP
  • SALT-HALF TSP
  • CHOCOLATE CHIPS-100GM(AVAILABLE IN SUPERMARKETS)
METHOD

  • In a bowl add softened butter and beat till creamy with an electric beater or a whisk.
  • Add both the type of sugars and continue to beat till creamy in a medium speed.
  • Add vanilla extract,egg and continue to beat.
  • Now in a separate bowl sift together salt,flour and baking soda.
  • Add to the previous mixture and mix well.
  • Finally add the chocolate chips and mix well.
  • Preheat your oven to 200 degree celsius.
  • Take 2 tsp of dough at a time and place in a baking tray lined with a butter paper leaving sufficient space between as they tend to expand.
  • Bake for about 12-14 minutes.
  • When they turn lightly brown remove from oven and cool them for 10 minutes.
  • Serve them fresh.
HANDY TIPS

  • If the dough is sticky add some flour and refrigerate for half an hour and then use it,otherwise they tend to expand enormously resulting in very thin fragile cookies.
  • Any kind of nuts can be added additionally.
  • The amount of chocolate chips can be adjusted to your taste.
