PANEER MASALA

I've always wanna try the restaurant style panner butter masala recipe at home.This dish tasted very close to that.Made with fresh paneer this dish tastes best with naan,fried rice,chapati..



INGREDIENTS

  • FRESH PANEER-200GM
  • ONION-1
  • TOMATO-1
  • GINGER-1 INCH
  • GARLIC-4 CLOVES
  • CARDOMOM-1 POD
  • STAR ANISE-1
  • CINNAMON-1 INCH
  • CLOVES-2
  • BAY LEAF-1
  • CORIANDER-FOR GARNISH
  • FRESH CREAM(OPTIONAL)
  • CHILLI POWDER-1 TSP
  • CORIANDER POWDER-2 TSP
  • SUGAR-HALF TSP
  • SALT-REQUIRED
  • TOMATO KETCHUP-1TSP
  • BUTTER-1 TSP
  • OIL-2 TBSP
METHOD

  • CUT PANNER INTO SMALL CUBES AND SHALLOW FRY IN 1TBSP OIL+BUTTER UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
  • GRIND TOGETHER ONION,TOMATOES,GINGER AND GARLIC.
  • HEAT OIL IN PAN,ADD CARDOMOM,STAR ANISE,CINNAMON,CLOVES,BAY LEAF AND FRY FOR A MINUTE.
  • ADD THE GROUND PASTE AND COOK TILL MOISURE IS ABSORBED
  • ADD THE SPICE POWDERS,SALT ,SUGAR ,TOMATO KETCHUP AND SPRINKLE SOME WATER.
  • COOK ON A LOW FLAME COVERED FOR 10 MINS.
  • FINALLY ADD THE PANEER CUBES AND SAUTE COOK COVERED FOR 10 MINS
  • ADD FRESH CREAM AND CORIANDER AND SERVE HOT.
