Yesterday after a month of intense heat in chennai,there was an unexpected shower of heavy rain in chennai and it was a blessing.The rainy season comes and along with it comes hot tasty treats and finger foods are common among all.This recipe is an adaptation from Rak's kitchen.I had baby corn n hand and after seeing her recipe i could'nt give a second thought......

- GRAM FLOUR(BESAN)-ONE-FOURTH CUP
- RICE FLOUR-ONE-FOURTH CUP
- ASAFOETIDA-3 PINCHES
- RED CHILLI POWDER-HALF TSP
- SALT-TO TASTE
- COOKING SODA-1 GENEROUS PINCH
- OIL-TO DEEP GRY
- BABYCORN-200GM
- Cut the baby corn lengthwise and cut it into 2 inch pieces.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients with water to make a thick batter.
- Dip the babycorn pieces in the batter and deep fry on a medium flame.
- Serve with tomato ketchup.
- The batter should be quite thick with less amount of water.
- You can also use potato,raw banana or cauliflower and do the recipe.
